Why did American universities adopt PHP so quickly into their CS curriculum but not Scala and Clojure?

Hi all, I would like to ask you a particular question, why did american universities adopt php so quickly into their cs curriculum but not scala and clojure? Please kindly inform me by explaining me clearly.
